Este árbol del paraíso es el símbolo del mayor regalo hecho jamàs a la especie humana: la naturaleza; exuberante, bella y temible, como todo lo maravilloso debe ser, pero también acogedora y fértil. Las otras especies animales y vegetales nutrieron a la humanidad, le dieron cobijo, alimento y vestido. Pero la especie humana únicamente vio en ella una ocasión para el abuso. Este árbol representa lo que hoy día estamos viendo en todo el planeta: la riqueza inconmensurable de selvas y bosques, arrasados por la ambición y la ignorancia humanas: el fuego, la deforestación, la aniquilación de sus legítimos habitantes, todos los ecosistemas devastados por la insaciable codicia humana.
This tree of paradise is the symbol of the greatest gift ever made to the human species: nature; lush, beautiful and fearsome, as everything wonderful must be, but also cozy and fertile. The other animal and plant species nourished mankind, gave him shelter, food and clothing. But the human species only saw in it an occasion for abuse. This tree represents what we are seeing on the planet today: the immeasurable richness of jungles and forests, devastated by human ambition and ignorance: fire, deforestation, annihilation of its legitimate inhabitants, all ecosystems devastated by insatiable human greed.
